‘Szórakaténusz’ Toy Museum and Workshop
Its mission is to collect the toys of Hungarian and universal culture along with scientific research and their presentation. Nowadays there are almost 18000 valuable pieces in the museum, such as ancient toys, simple folk toys, elaborate toys of wealthy people, the unique pieces of art of the national applied art, children’s literature, different collections of toys, and books on legerdemain. Topics of these toys vary on a large scale, which are also colored by the traditional toys of different nations. Besides the national toys, the collection gives home to the toys of neighboring countries.
