János Bozsó painter and founder of the collection was born on 27 December 1922 in Kecskemét. The uniqueness of his art derived from his flow of emotion, which was his most important means of expression and goal. János Bozsó collected masterpieces of Hungarian folk art and European arts and crafts of the previous centuries. He donated this collection to Kecskemét in 1975, and an exhibition of this opened in 1979. Bozsó Collection was located in Klapka-house, former home of the artist where visitors can trace the treasures of five centuries. The museum was renewed, enlarged and now hosts a collection of special clocks and watches as well.
