Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and Museum
The first group of Greeks escaping from Turks settled down in Kecskemét at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. They traded spices and other commodities from the colonies such as tropical fruits, leather and textile products. They established their own organisation „The society of Greeks in Kecskemét” to support each other and keep Greek culture. This late baroque church with classicist elements was built between 1824-1829. The Orthodox Museum holds numerous post-Byzantine religious relics.
